Heath grew up in a small, quaint town in Western North Carolina, where he developed a love for sports at a young age. He played multiple sports up until he graduated high school, but it wasn’t until after graduation that he developed a passion for golf and agronomy. While trying to determine his career path, Heath had an opportunity to work at a local country club, and that is where his career in agronomy began. Soon after this experience, Heath attended North Carolina State University and graduated from there with a degree in Turfgrass management. Heath grew up in family of hard workers and he most definitely continued in those footsteps. He worked all through undergrad, which allowed him to gain experience in both private and semi-private clubs. Upon graduating from college, he was hired as an Assistant Superintendent at a prestigious club in Wake Forest, North Carolina. He has always embraced challenges and the opportunity to grow in his ability and his knowledge, which is why in 2015, he and his family moved across the country to Scottsdale, Arizona. Heath accepted a position at TPC Scottsdale, which is part of the PGA TOUR and home to one of the most attended sporting events in sports history. Heath was quickly promoted to Superintendent of both the Stadium and Champions Courses, where his hard work and dedication set him apart from others. During his tenure at TPC Scottsdale, he played an integral part of maintaining two courses that saw a combined 100,000 rounds of golf a year, while also hosting seven successful Waste Management Phoenix Opens and two Champions TOUR Q Schools. This experience was exactly what he needed to reach one of his career goals and he is very happy for that to be at Seminole Legacy Golf Club. He is very excited to be a part of the FSU family. It is apparent that this is a wonderful place to be and he has been very impressed with the outpouring of encouragement and support he has received since joining the team. Heath is married to Kristen and they have one son, Brady. Brady, like his father, plays multiple sports, which keeps them busy during their free time. They are looking forward to adding FSU sporting events into their weekends - Go Noles!
